Yes, I just stole Billy's famed line from Masterchef season 3. Call me lame (or punny) but i'm known for my face-palming and lame jokes #dadjokes.
That aside, today's post is on the simple guacamole. a staple in a mexican diet. My version is a quick and easy version so it is no where near authentic. When it comes to making dips, i'm pretty much touch and go too, a handful of this, a sprinkle of this.... you get the drift....
I still havent visited Mejico in Wynyard but i heard they make guac on the spot! how cool! must visit soon!
3 ripe hass avocados
1 tsp chilli powder
sprinkle of paprika
salt and black pepper, to taste
lemon juice (half a lemon)
crackers to serve. ( i used peckish thin crackers, i love how crispy they were)
1. scoop out all your avocado flesh and mash in a bowl.
2. dice the tomato, onion and cucumber.
3. combine ingredients in a bowl and add in salt, pepper and lemon juice.
This is a simple no fuss version, something i made in 10 minutes flat when friends rocked up for an impromptu dinner at my place.
Till next time,
